carlingk has a question about Sim Swap. All done but when I call from land-line, it's straight to v-mail. Is it still going through the 'transition'?

Following a sim swap today, how long before I can make & receive calls on new handset? Landline goes straight to v-mail.....

Possibly yes

This can take several hours to complete

Try restarting your handset periodically

The SIM Swap process may take anything from a few minutes to 24 hours to complete. However, normally the SIM swap completed within 30 minutes.
Please turn your phone off/on again periodically to see if that helps. If the SIM Swap isn’t completed within 24 hours you can address it with a giffgaff agent to investigate.

To contact a giffgaff agent you will need to use the “Ask an agent” form here https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/SIM-and-number/Performing-a-SIM-Swap/form/

A giffgaff agent will try to get back to you as soon as possible however, during busy periods an agent can take up to 24 hours to answer your posted question.

Any replies from a giffgaff agent can be found “Messages From Agents" box located on your "My Giffgaff" page, or the page can be accessed by following this https://giffgaff.com/support/questions
