If you have had data running in the background this might be why. You could contact an agent though giffgaff.com/support/ask

I have added a data counter now.

am just curious as to where 1.5 gb has gone in 48 hours.

seems a little odd

If you have an iPhone, check that wifi assist isn't on, it boosts the speed of your wifi by using 4g too, which could be a reason why your usage is so high
