how do i get full stops and returns characters using voice

i'm using google voice to type this Message it's brilliant

but how do i make phone stops and return characters

can you not just say it? normally its clever enough to process its not a word but a symbol

no it doesn't seem to be that clever
i have tried many times

It should just calculate it based on amount of words

Can you just say 'full stop'?

Apparently saying "period" should do the trick.

If I say full stop or comma on mine it does it but if I say exclamation mark it prints that in full!
