You will ned to click: http://giffgaff.com/support/puk
And click on retrieve my PUK, it will then show up straight away!
Follow the instructions on the phone, and put in the PUK code given to you.
If you enter it incorrectly 10 times, your phone won't allow you to do anything else.

I've also been waiting for a sim for over a week.
My levels of annoyance at all of this are very high.

Your seeing that error because you need to access it from an activated account.
( presumably your account has been deactivated when you barred your sim?)
If your replacement sim hasn't arrived after 6 days, you'll need to ask an agent to send you another replacement
First make sure you're address details are correct here
You'll then need to ask an agent to send you another replacement
Log into here
Tick "yes" to its been more than 5 days since you ordered it
Tick. "yes" to your address is correct in my giffgaff
In the box provided , just confirm you want another replacement sending, as the other one hasn't arrived
( just be aware the agent will bar the first sim, so if that does turn up at your address you can't use it to reactivate your account)
