how do i keep the same number when i change my sim card onto giff gaff?

The process for transferring your number from another mobile provider to giffgaff is shown here , please note that it can take 2 days at a minimum from giffgaff receiving your request to it being implemented, remember to also add on the time it takes to obtain your Porting Authorisation Code from your current supplier

 

Here is a list of network customer service centres to contact to obtain your PAC code from your current supplier

when i click onto the link it takes me to the page then i click on Apply "HERE" to keep my number and it then sends me back to my home page so i cannt keep my same number?

Make sure you are logged in through My Giffgaff, go to the Support menu at the top of the website, then select Transfer your number

nothing on suport says transfer your number :/ ?

Have you activated your giffgaff Sim card yet. The option only appears if you have an active card linked to your login

 

Assuming you have activated then you should see the following sub menu under the support menu

 

FAQs   |   Ask the community  |  Messages from agents  |Transfer your number  |Lost & Stolen

yes i have activated it..

also i have put my giff gaff sim card into my phone now and it wont let me text or even find my number. how long will it be before i can start to use my phone.

If that link doesn't work then email an agent with the details that it says on this page: http://support.giffgaff.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/96

 

An alternative contact number (just in case we need to get hold of you)
• The mobile number you want to keep
• PAC code
• Mobile number for new giffgaff SIM card
• SIM serial number for new giffgaff SIM card

And don't forget to specify a date for transfer (2 working days in advance)

 

 

 

It's the same as filling out the form.
