iPhone 4 ''There is a problem with your iPhone''

Hello

        when i woke up this morning my iphone displayed a notificaton saying calls and texts are unavailable please restore to fix - or something of the sort. but now, i have tried restoring the phone several times and on iTunes i get a message saying ''there is a problem with your iphone. it may be damaged and cannot be activated for service'' anyone know what i can do? i havent heard or seeen this problem before and like most people need my mobile phone, and as i am on holiday i cant get to the apple store till wednesday.

if yr iphone is locked to specific network then u need that specific sim to activate yr sim.

 

looks like yr phone got updated and now u have locked iphone

so you are saying if i go to the O2 shop, get a microsim then attempt to restore it will work?

up until this morning the phone was working perfectly, ive only had it 2 weeks :'(

Well you don't need O2 sim giffgaff sim works fine !

You need to put iPhone into DFU mode and do recovery that way!

It fix software problem !

i have already tried resetting through DFU mode as well, thanks for the help though Smiley Happy

If the phone was unlocked via a jaikbrake and you have wifi turned on , its possable that it has updated and in effect locked the phone , you may need to unlock again
