iPhone 4S network settings

Will they revert to the 02 ones every time that I connect it to my laptop, as that will be my primary source of charging my phone - or is there a way to keep the giffgaff ones there permanantly as I definitely cannot be bothered to re-enter them daily.

Shouldn't do. I've had a problem with my iPad where the O2 settings come back after a software upgrade but a normal sync/charge hasn't caused that.

Shouldn't really do that.  Are you pressing Reset Settings by any chance?

BTW this should be on the help board rather than the learn board. A moderator may move it.

Sorry I didn't even think about it. it's just because I came straight out of the iPhone 4 guide.

So if a moderator could move it, I would be greatful Smiley Happy

Anyways, I've not 'reset' the settings, I've simply started charging it on my laptop and it's the first time I've downloaded iTunes which could be the issue? And as soon as I synced (when I'd moved the apps around) I checked the network settings and they were back to O2.


I'll disconnect it, reenter the settings, reconnect to iTunes and see what happens.

Your giffgaff settings should remain as long as the giffgaff sim is left in your phone and no others inserted at any time.

I've changed the settings back - Only seemed that Cellular Data and Visual Voicemail (the top two) had changed, but the MMS settings were unchanged.

Sorry for making this large and bold, but I've realised my error:

 

Earlier, I upgraded the software to iOS 5.1 which probably reset the settings.

 

 

If a moderator could move/close/delete this thread, whichever they see fit, I would be greatful Smiley Happy
