Hi Guys,

I entered all the correct info in cellular data network and sent 'MMS' off to 1010 but nothing has happened.  I receved a message saying they will let me know when my MMS is ready to use and that was almost a month ago (Jan 18).  I sent off another message on the 8th Feb but haven't heard anything either.

I'm running out of ideas of what it could be, can anyone help?

Thanks

Jack

See this thread:

http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Help-Ask-the-community-got-stuck/iphone-no-MMS-settings-coming-thro...

Which includes a link to the guide to set up an iPhone 4 - which iPhone do you have?

As the thread says, MMS to 1010 is only for O2, not giffgaff (although some people have said it worked for them, it's clearly not working for you!).

Note also that to send MMS messages you'll need credit - they're not included in any goodybags but cost 16p each.

Hi Spikeydoo,

Yeah that's one of the threads I've read through, didn't help.

It's so frustrating!

I've just read the other posts.  So what's actually happening?

If you enter the settings, you ought to be able to send MMS messages immediately - no need to wait for anything from giffgaff (or O2!) to come through, it'll just work.  But you do need non-goodybag credit to send messages.

What happens when you try to send a MMS message?

Ah ha!  I didn't realise that, that may be the problem.  Having said when I activated I'm sure I had £5 in my balance.

Enter the mms settings manually.
go to Settings -> General -> Network -> Cellular Data Network (or Mobile Data Network)

You can check your current balance by dialling *100# and pressing Dial (or Call or the green button - you get the idea!).  This should tell you your remaining balance.  And it doesn't cost you anything to do.

If you have a goodybag with an allowance of minutes, then *100*7# will tell you how many minutes you have left, and if you have a goodybag with an allowance of texts, *100*5# will tell you how many texts you have left.

Ahhh I was mistaken, the issue must be the fact I have no credit.
Thanks for the help guys and sorry to waste your time!
