I've just returned an iPhone for repair in excellent condition, no damage or water ingress.  Took it to an Apple store while away because it stopped ringing.  INcluded in the return package the Apple tech report which said it was a speaker fault and for them to repair it, it would cost £60.  As it's still under warranty with GiffGaff declined their offer (Apple) and then returned it to GiffGaff with insurance (£7.40)

Received a message today from GiffGaff telling me it was out of warranty, although less than 6 months since purchase and the cost to repair £230. Please, could someone advise what is going on?

Handset repair (ref: GG-23-000320706)

@ribtwo
Good Morning,
This is not on, if thd phone is still in warranty giffgaff should repair under the warranty.
Also the Pricd Difference between Apple and gifgaff seems well out of order.
I would contact an Agent who is the one who has access to your account and ask them to tske your case up with Repair Company giffgaff uses.
Use the following link to contact Agent :-https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/using-giffgaff/when-to-contact-an-agent/ta-p/9114714
Allow up to 24hours for a reply but usually quicker.. See Agent's replies at the following link :-

Give full details of date you purchased the phone and Apple's cost to reosir.
I hope you get this sorted out.

Hi @ribtwo,

The reference number you quoted is from the giffgaff Agents, we are giffgaff members like you, helping other members.

Make sure, with proof, that you are indeed still under warranty and follow up with the ggiffgaff Agents (under that original post) accordingly.  At the end, request that they forward your case to giffgaff HQ.

If you are not happy with their subsequent reply, raise a complaint with giffgaff via the link below:

Good luck.

Message an agent. Tell them what has happened, and ask for full condition report. You will get a reply saying that the repair centre pressed the wrong button and they are going to fix it. Happens all the time, about time giffgaff sorted out out

Hi Kevin,
Josh, here again, good news! Kevin the quote was raised by mistake and your iPhone has been replaced by our repair team.
The replacement phone should now be dispatched from the repair centre very soon. The repair team have provided a tracking number from our courier DHL and I've provided this below:
This number should go live once the phone leaves our repair centre Kevin which shouldn't be long now.
I hope this helps Kevin and I hope you have a wonderful day.
