I've just returned an iPhone for repair in excellent condition, no damage or water ingress. Took it to an Apple store while away because it stopped ringing. INcluded in the return package the Apple tech report which said it was a speaker fault and for them to repair it, it would cost £60. As it's still under warranty with GiffGaff declined their offer (Apple) and then returned it to GiffGaff with insurance (£7.40)
Received a message today from GiffGaff telling me it was out of warranty, although less than 6 months since purchase and the cost to repair £230. Please, could someone advise what is going on?
