locked out of giffgaff app

My husband has been locked out of the giffgaff app ,says it needs his username and password which i entered and it says its wrong ,though i know its not ,so i clicked for a text to be sent to his phone for lost password ,i entered his phone number and name ,and it says it does not exist ,He needs to top up with a goodybag .He has £20 reward on his phone which giffgaff have taken money from this morning when he had to make a phone call .I cannot understand why he cannot get help by giffgaff just sending a text ,all it keeps saying is this name and phone number do not exist and it has been like this now for two days.any help would be great ,Oh and do they have online chat on here so i can talk to an actual agent?

Hi, how much credit does your husband currently have?
(dial *100# to check)

An agent will probably refund any lost credit as a goodwill gesture
But
It could be tommorrow morning before they do so,

If your husband wants to start using his phone,. What you could do is add £10 to his number

From your my giffgaff page
Http://giffgaff.com/dashboard
Click the yellow add credit button

Click
Top up a different giffgaff number
Remove your number and put in your husbands
And click save
And click the yellow pay button

Your husband can then buy a goodybag with the credit you've just added
By calling 43430 and pressing option 2 and following the directions,

Regarding the problem accessing the account...
ask an agent with the account you're posting here with , and they'll send you a reset link

And in the box provided .... Give the agents the following info relating to your husbands account

Say you've forgot your password
Activated username
Name ( on the account)
Address (on the account)
Mobile number
Sim. Serial number
(first 13 digits from the back of the sim)
2 numbers you text and call
Last 4 digits of a debit card last used
Ammount, date and method of last top up
Email address ( you have access to)

Mention you can't receive a password reset link for the a ccount as its saying username and number combination, not found
Ask for a password reset link to be sent to the email you've supplied

The app can sometimes can be buggy i suggest you try using the desktop or mobile browser to manage the account here http://www.giffgaff.com/dashboard or you can try uninstalling the app and install it again.

Try reinstalling the app, it's not the best. You could then try logging in on a computer or in your mobile's web browser.
