my phone keeps saying no service

I have a HTC desire hd and it keeps saying that I have no service so I'm not at to receive any calls or text messages and I can't phone or text too. I have tried two giffgaff Sims and it shows the same. Any solutions??

Have you activated the sim with the required £10 top up

It can take between 30mins and 24hrs to fbecome fully active

you should recieive a text telling you it active and your number

which you will also see on your my giffgaff page under your name

GiffGaff runs on O2.
Most phones show giffgaff as the operator but 02 as the carrier. But if you've got an iPhone it will just say O2-UK.
and your phone must be on o2 or UNLOCKED.
Tesco phone's work, even thou they use o2 they might not work on GiffGaff,
as they can be double locked!
So you will need to contact them to get it unlocked fully.

If you have just activated your sim or added a goodybag in normal circumstances the top-up or activation takes to show, In most case it is applied within minutes.
and takes less than 30 mins in some cases up to 24hrs dependent on system problems..  
Activations can be submitted anytime but the process wont be completed between 10pm and around 6am.

Check your balance from your phone.
Dial *100# to check your credit balance.
Dial *100*7# to check your goodybag balance.
Dial *100*1# for your free giffgaff calls expiry date
Dial *100*5# to see your remaining text balance applies only to Hokey Cokey goodybag which has 300 inclusive texts

just check your (My Giffgaff page) under your balance/goodybag

You may be in a bad reception area or there may be an issue http://status.o2.co.uk/
Also if possibe try the sim in a different handset

Try to rule out hardware, test a known good sim - a friend or relative with either a working giffgaff or O2 sim put in your phone. If the issue persists you have an issue with your phone. If it works fine then there's something wrong with your giffgaff sim(s)

Is your phone unlocked and has the correct setting for giffgaff, try rebooting your phone if so.

Hey, thanks guys it shows I have service now I just put my phone on aeroplane mode for an hour and started It again and it worked. Thank you for all your suggestions!!!
