Hi @zarif43

From the sounds of it you have iPhone? Are you sure your iPhone is unlocked? As a giffgaff SIM will only be accepted in a phone that is unlocked or locked to the o2 network. If you are sure the iPhone is unlocked please try syncing it with iTunes to see if that helps.

You can follow this https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201253 link for steps on how to sync your phone with iTunes.

Sounds like it's still locked to another carrier.
What is make/model of your phone?
Is it unlocked? Where was it purchased?

hi @sneaky007,

thank you for replying,

So this is what my i phone says exactly,
"the sim card that you currently have installed in this iphone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iphone. Please insert another sim card from a supported carrier or request that this iphone be unlocked by your carrier. "
Does that change anything or do you still recommend that i sync it with itunes?

@zarif43 If your sure the iPhone is unlocked or locked to the O2 then yes sync it with iTunes.  When synced you should get a message in iTunes as shown in the image below:
