re why is my phone sending multiple text

my phone is sending multiple texts to my recipitants even tho ive actually sent 1 text to them they are receiving the same text up to 11+ times how can i sort this out please ive rebooted phone and doesnt help very annoying

You might be using a non-stock messaging app. If yes then

1) Remove the app

2) Restart the phone and

3) Reinstall the app.

 

This should sort out the issue.

Download an anti virus program for your phone as I was experiencing same problem a while AVG and then do the whole scan delete history,cache e.t.c

Try deleting there number an all history between you then manually send text wait for reply an store number

If it's a txt app you put on you could delete it then install again. Or you can do the below.
If it's the stock app do this
Hold power button down until phone shuts down (10::::20 seconds) leave for five minutes ( a real five minutes to let fragments decay) then hold power button down until phone starts.
Do txt again

I see this problem happen often when either you or the other person is in a low signal area:

 

If you're in a low signal area, then the phone will send the text but will not get a confirmation from giffgaff's servers that it's been sent due to the weak signal, so the phone tries again.

 

If the other person is in a low signal area then the phone will receive the message but the signal is not strong for it to tell the network that it received it, so the network will try to send the text again.
