Hi All,

Wonder if anyone can help me please.

Trying to put new ringtone into s3 , downloaded to pc (mp3) then opened up s3 on PC and put ringtone (mp3) file into ringtone folder ... Shows up settings..sound...phone ringtone highlighted the green spot and the tone worked but when I get call in it still used the old one... Where am I going wrong ?..  If the mps3 file wrong if so how do I convert to the right format

Thanks

JIM

Just worked for me...

Copied the MP3 file to /mnt/sdcard/Ringtones
Went to Settings | Sound and tapped Phone ringtone
Scrolled to my newly added ringtone
Tapped it, had the green blob
Tapped OK
Saw that my now ringtone was shown underneath Phone ringtone
Called my phone and the ringtone played

Make sure that the phone can actually play the ringtone - try opening it in your file browser on the phone itself. Also make certain of where you put it - I've only tried that one location.
