samsung galaxy s2 not registered on network

Hi, Recently bought a samsung galaxy s2 (second hand (unlocked)) and was happily using it untill friday when i suddenly stopped recieving texts, and when i try to make a call it just says not registered on network, yet the mobile internet is working fine, any more info needed just ask, thanks.

Manual roam android :

Should you be experiencing poor signal strength or no service, it is occasionally necessary to perform a manual roam on your device to de-register it from your network provider and then re-register it again.

To perform a manual network roam on an Android device, launch the Settings menu and select Wireless and Networks

1) Select Mobile Networks

2) Select Network Operators

3) Select the option to Search for networks

4) A list of available networks will be displayed after a few moments:

Select any network that is Not giffgaff or 02.
(choose Orange/Vodafone / T-mobile etc).
You will see "unable to register" on the screen.
( No NService).
Now select giffgaff or 02 and allow the selection and change the selection back to Automatic.

Try turning your phone off and looking at your settings making sure that they are all correct.

try to restart your phone, and check the O2 status

mine sometimes fails to pickup again after loosing signal, restarting sorts it

Mobile network not found:


Check to see if there are any outages in the mobile network where you are by entering your postcode here

If OK then see if doing a manual roam helps

Also try turning airplane mode on and then back off.

If no luck then try rebooting your phone.

Hi, i just tried this, selected tmobile and it said "unable to connect, try again later", (i dont have giffgaff in that list) so i selected 02 - uk (2g) (the only 02 option) and it said "unable to connect, try again later"

Go into phone status

Turn on off antenna .... And troubleshoot it mate !
