sim card not recognised

need advice my sim card does not work have tried it in 3 different mobile phones all saying the same no sim card in slot and all phones are unlocked to any network can any one advise me please or have  i got to get a new sim card

It could be that your SIM is 'failing in service'. Rare but it does happen.


Please order a new free SIM from:

OR you can pick one up from Tesco, Iceland, Sainsbury, Home Bargains or Poundland for around 99p

All newgiffgaff SIMs are 'trio' SIMs (Mini/Micro/Nano in one just push out the bit that you need to fit your phone) and are 4G/3G/2G compatable.
When it arrives, you will need to perform a simple SIMswap.

SIMswap does not work between 21:30 and 04:30 each day.

When did you activate the SIM card?


If activation was more than 6 months ago, have you used the SIM within the last 6 months?
