ive reported my phone lost, and ordered a new sim. i have now found a new sim at home. is there anyway i can register this one today

Hi, sorry that's not possible
Only the special replacement sim can be activated on your account

It'll arrive in a package with the words "oops don't worry we'll get you back on track" wrote on the back of the package
