swapped sim from iphone4 to iphone 5, but sim not activated

Hi Everyone,

 

I have put a new sim into my sons unlocked iphone, it has been now over 24 hrs but the sim has of yet not been activated. I have swapped many sims and it usually only takes 30mins. I put the new sim number into were it says online but nothing. Should I try another sim and activate again? TIA for your replies Heather xx

Have you tried restarting the phone

does the dashboard show the number? see here http://www.giffgaff.com/dashboard to access your dashboard. Usually the SIM swap should take no more than 30 minutes to complete as its been more than 24 hours then i suggest you raise a support ticket with a giffgaff agent to investigate. A agent can be contacted by following this link

hi ty for your reply, yes we have took the sim out turned phone off and on but still nothing x

yes i have taken the sim out and resparted the phone

hi its hcb65 who posted this enquirey now on my sons account. His dash board is showing his number and his credit etc x
