It should take about 30 minutes to fully complete after you've completed your part of the activation process (including topping up/goodybag purchase) but can take upto 24 hours.

Hi, it can take upto 24hrs for a sim to activate. Try rebooting (switching off and on) your phone now and again

SIM Activation or number porting normally takes 30 minutes but, in some rare cases, up to 24 hours for all parts (calls, texts, internet, your account details) to complete. You won't lose any goodybags or airtime credit. In the meantime periodically turn your phone off and back on so that it will register with the network when it's completed.

If it has been more than 24 hours then you will have to ask an agent for help.

Restart the phone. Usually helps
Otherwise best to wait 24hrs before worrying

you will need to put the internet settings in manualy folow this link for the settings you need

Go to Settings Wireless and Networks Mobile Networks (make sure Mobile Data is on) tap Access Point Names. If you see giffgaff in the list tap the dot on the right. That's it. If you can't see giffgaff just follow these steps
Make a new APN
Username giffgaff
APN giffgaff.com
password [Leave blank]
Proxy [Leave blank]

MMS settings
APN - Access Point Name giffgaff.com

Username giffgaff

Password [ leave blank ]

MMSC http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002

MMS proxy: 82.132.254.1

MMS port: 8080

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

APN type mms

Do NOT press the "Reset Settings button when you’ve done this.Just restart your phone

iPhones and iPads can't edit the proxy manually so it's best to reset the settings and then use
