Hi there I have recently tranfered over from ee to giff ,on a £10 sim unlimited minutes texts etc,my old number tranfered over today

I have just recived a message from giff gaf saying ive used o.o2 from autotop up disabled

what is this ive paid for a sim for a month

The 2p balance is a known glitch.In your case,you've gained 2p.

Call 43430 (top up number,free to call from an active giffgaff sim),select option 2 and listen to the recorded message. 

 

What exactly does the recorded message tell you?

If that message appeared on your phone after you made a call or sent a text, it is a credit balance - you are 2p richer than you thought!   A couple of pence is sometimes added to an account during SIM activation - giffgaff have never explained why. 

I do not work for giffgaff, so cannot check anything on your account. This is a public community - please do not post any personal info.

The 2p is credit. I am inclluding some info for you re the 2 Giffgaff Tariffs as newcomers can find them confusing.

The 2 Giffgaff Tariffs can be a bit confusing. This information explains them.
*****GOODYBAG is a monthly allowance for Texts, Calls & Data, plus free Giffgaff to Giffgaff calls - it expires at the end of 30 or 31 days from when you bought it.
Goodybag minutes can be used to call any UK landline numbers that start with 01, 02, 03, and UK mobiles starting with 071 to 075 and 077 to 079.
*****AIRTIME is a PAY- AS-YOU-GO allowance which is used for Multimedia Message Services (MMS), used abroad, for outside the EU area & for 0870, 118 etc. numbers & lasts until it runs out. Plus for the first 3 months after top-up you have free Giffgaff to Giffgaff calls.
****AIRTIME Charges: Calls @ 15p a minute, Texts 5p, Data 5p per MB, Voicemail 8p a call.
+++++ Picture messages (MMS) to giffgaff and other mobiles (max 300KB) 16p per MMS****

Hello adding credit does not buy goodybag you need do that manually out of your credit either dial 43430 and choose option 2 goodybags , or If you have airtime credit and wish to exchange it for a goodybag then simply follow the steps below
1. Login -
2. Go to the "Top-up" section of the website
3. Select the goodybag/gigabag you wish to buy and then click “select button”.
4. Your goodybag/gigabag appears in your basket. Click "Select" next to "I only need a goodybag"
5. Click "Continue" without ticking the box to recur your goodybag
6. Click "Exchange airtime credit"

Missing credit if you have not enough now to buy goodybag please contact agents they may replace the credit
