Hiya @cazaline71, @aliciahill,
Thank you for the heads up! We are aware of this issue with text messages displaying a 'Not sent' error to the sender while the recipient might receive it multiple times. The engineers are working to resolve this as we speak.
As soon as we have a new update on this, we'll come back here and on the main thread:

Talk to you very soon,

Thank you @antonlg

By any chance, what position should H&S members have for compensation, has giffgaff said what they are going to do or continute to tell them to check the service updates page. Cheers

No trees were destroyed in the sending of this message, however, a significant number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

There seems to be a spate of problems involving activation of iMessages.

Those below are all since lunchtime Friday, after services were supposedly working normally again. Curious thing is that some of them mention it doesn't work even over wifi, which shouldn't have been affected by the outage -- unless perhaps they really mean wifi extra -- a possible clue there?

iMessage and FaceTime problems

iMessage and FaceTime unsuccessful activation

No data/imessage

iMessage not activating

iMessage issues

iMessage activation?

My iMessage won’t activate after the network issue...

iMessage not working with my number

SMS / iMessage

Imessage activation

Apple ID iMessage

imessage and facetime

imessage and facetime

iMessage Problems “waiting for activation”

No response to problems with iMessages

Following yesterday's network issues

iMessage problems

Imessage not working ?

SMS/iMessage/FaceTime Activation Issues

iMessage and texts not working

Further to the above, I've noticed a lot of "Me Too" messages within those threads, so there's maybe 100 or more members affected.

I've therefore posted a thread in contribute: iMessages -- are they working for *anybody* ?

The purpose of that thread is to gather possible reasons for the problem so that giffgaff can get a better understanding of what the problem is.

Please, only use that thread for contributing the factual information requested so that we can try to establish what works and what doesn't. It's not a thread for moaning about the problem.

Hi there @harrrrrry and everyone

We have been looking ito this and it appears so far that switching the iPhone off and then back on again resolves this. Has anyone done this and not had the service restored?

The opening post (and hence the thread title) is Think you've found an unreported service issue but individual messages within the thread can have their own title. Replies to a specific message will use the message title, if it has one, or the thread title if it does not.

As such, the Notification Feed isn't strictly correct -- it should say message rather than topic (but that's unlikely to be fixed because of the intended retirement of lithium as a forum platform).

I don't know if I am alone with this issue but subscription notifications are referring me back to old post that haven't been updated.

I also get "member" has started a new topic when they haven't.
