A helpful article about  password security that may interest some members. It's to easy to become complacent where passwords are concerned.

It's so easy to think 'it will never happen to me'. That mindset has got to change in this modern day.

Yes nowadays it pays to have long, strong passwords.

I have so many I find that a password manager is invaluable, you then only have to remember one master password for the manager. I personally use, and can recommend, the open source Bitwarden password manager - it also has a handy password generation function so you can change your passwords regularly which is another step in defeating the hackers.

I try to have a strong password, the problem I have is remembering them. I write them down but often forget to update my list. 😂 I know there's app or something you can use to store your password, but I'm wary of them incase I lose my phone them someone has access to all my apps on my phone. That's my main worry.

I've posted before that I use old Defunct Car number plates of cars I've had that have been scrapped like this,

Using uppercase/lowercase/numbers and a none Standard symbol.

to break up the repetiton.

Most people can remember past number plates of cars they have owned.

Mines comes up at 63 Billion years to crack with present software depending on what site used :0)

I can remember the numberplate of one of my First Motorycles I owned over 40 years ago Smiley Surprised

That is a great way to remember passwords. We have to have so many.
Thanks for the link above, I'm going to try that out. 🤗🤗

That's a great tip @sheppola. I can remember some number plates. I'm so tired of trying to make up new passwords, and remember ones, and ones I've used in the past.
I will also have a look at the password checker. Thanks 😊
