So I just got a Mac book. I've been a windows user for many many years and got given the opportunity to get one so went for it.
First reaction is an amazing bit of kit, very thin slick and smart. It turned on in seconds and the screen quality is amazing.
But using the thing confused the hell out of me. How many fingers do I need to swipe and in which direction to do a basic right click ???? Lol
To many shortcut features and bits , yes it's OK and amazing and in sure I'll get used to it but and help/tips from you guys in how I'll best get used to will be very helpful thank you !!!
Has any one else made the change and stuck with Apple

Go to system preferences>trackpad or mouse - the rest is easy.
Good luck and enjoy a very fine computer.

Control and a track pad option is often useful under OS X.

Having said that, I'm old fashioned and like a 2 button mouse.

If you compared it to an equivalent PC, the Mac would not seem so amazing.

In order to do a basic right click. Either depress the mouse pad with 2 fingers at the same time -
Or just simply tap with two fingers and your options list will come up Smiley Happy hope this helps

Once you're used to it you'll never go back to a 'normal' track pad
