Not sure if anyone has said about this app, but there's a great app by none other than Google called Datally which allows you to control which apps you want to use your 3G/4G and also setup when you want data on and off during the night and setup your data allowance on a daily basis.
I'm use the £20 Goodybag and worked out I can use around 1.3Gb a day which I've got setup on the app, then it warns you when you are getting near your personal allowance.
I know there are other apps in the Playstore, but many either are riddled with ads, or require you to pay for them after a while.
Hope this helps some users who like myself have demanding kids who stream while on the bus!!
It's a great app for also finding out which apps use the data in the background and it allows you to restrict them without having to go into the app settings in Android.
Have a good'un from this Black Countryman in South Wales 😉
Thats a great tip there @m0dcm and im sure it will interest many gaffers. Im going to take a look at it later.

@bluenose5 @tito6 @bobrobinson @peterhall0012 @pw6049 Hey all! You're welcome! The last couple of weeks it's been a real help, especially with my son streaming YouTube and Netflix on the bus, I've learnt that streaming at certain quality can go a long way and preserve the data, even being on the 40Gb plan, gives me more to stream iPlayer for myself when he's not around 😉
If I can think of any other tips, I'll post them!!
