I have an HTC One M9 which I am very pleased with however recently when I click the music app icon it doesn't open properly and freezes so I can't play any music. Strangley, it does still play in the car via Bluetooth but only in sequence of tracks, it won't let me select or shuffle.

The music is stored on a 64GB SanDisk micro-SD card, not on the phone itself.

Has any one else experienced this or know of a fix?

Thanks in advance.

Jim.

Hi Jim. Try turning your phone off and back on. If that doesn't fix it can you try installing a different music player to see if it can access your music?

Hi Endorphin and thanks for your suggestion.

Ishould have said I had tried turning it off and on. I spend an hour on the phone with HTC yesterday and have now got the issue resolved. They had not come across it before but the fix involved clearing data in safe mode before restarting. It now works fine.

Thanks again.

Try restarting your phone a few times.
