Hi I'm currently on EE contract (finished Dec 2014) and want to transfer over to giff gaff.

I took my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini to a shop to get it unlocked but they said the phone would be completely wiped to do it (back to factory defaults)

Is there any way to do it without wiping everything?

Thanks!

Nope sorry that is the only way you can use a memory card to save all important files though.

No, but you back up all your files before you unlock it.

I see no reason why you have to lose your data.

How much does the shop want to charge you?

EE should be able to give you an unlock code for £20 which won't wipe your phone.
