Hiya @carol1967g

You can be all up and running today if you buy one.

Most supermarkets  Poundshops  and many other outlets sell them now.

They will cost you no more than £1 to buy.

Its a lot better than waiting a few days for one to be delivered to you.

All the best BobSmiley Happy

@carol1967g

As above; most outlets that sell SIM cards (supermarkets, convenience stores, etc.) are more than likely to also carry giffgaff SIMs, so a quick turnaround if needed.

That said, if the SIM you're after is a replacement for one which has been reported as lost or stolen, then you'll need to wait on the one which giffgaff send out to you, no other will suffice (unless you start it up on a fresh account).

Hi @carol1967g,

As mentioned by another user, if you need a SIM urgently and it is for a SIM Swap, then your best bet is to get a SIM from a loc supermarket or convenience store, or any other shop that sells SIM cards, as Giffgaff SIMs are available from most outlets for about £1 or so.

If you can wait a few days then you can order a SIM from your order page: https://giffgaff.com/orders/MGM

If it is for a new recruit then PM me with the details and I'll get the SIM sent out via 1st class post.

@ralphy26 please see my above response, the same will also apply to you and help you get back up and running Smiley Happy

P.S. This only applies to SIMs that have not been reported as lost or stolen. If the SIM has been reported then you'll need to hang fire until the replacement from Giffgaff arrives.

Regards TITA

I can't, it won't let me. Is it possible if anyone could send out a replacement as my account keeps telling me that I can't order more Sims unless I've activated one for myself. My username is ralphy26.

Hi @ralphy26,

The best thing would be to pop down to a local Tesco, Sainsburys, Poundland or other supermarket that sells Sim cards, as you can buy one for a £1 from most stores. These do not count towards your limits and can be activated to your account via the SIM Swap procedure.

I would also ask the agents to look into your limits and explain that you cannot order a SIM for a SIM swap until your limits are increased.

I would avoid reporting as lost unless the SIM is actually lost/ stolen, because it places a lock on your account, and if the replacement SIM from Giffgaff is lost in the post, or otherwise doesn't make it, then your account cannot be reactivated.
