I've just read on here that iphones if purchased unlocked will then automatically lock to the first SIM inserted !

I have an unlocked NOKIA Lumia 710 ,does anyone know if the same applies ????

Care phone warehouse phones bought unlocked do that for iPhones at least.

Check with who your buying it off to be safe.

Definitely not, used a lumia on here before (unless in the settings you have activated SIM lock)

The situation with iPhones locking to the first network seems to be something specific to CarPhoneWarehouse which mentions it in their terms and conditions.

I myself have a simfree iPhone4 from the Apple Store and it still accepts all network sims. So this locking seems only to affect CPW supplied handsets

Similarly I also have a sim free Lumia 710 from CPW and that still accepts other sim cards from other networks
