why dont network companies add unlocking as a way of encouraging people to move over. banks do a troubleless switch over why dont networks. i love using giffgaff and offer it to people whose phones i unlock so i get the £5 bonus. it's easy to unlock most phones and i have the bbm software that generates its unlock codes. but since ios 7.1.2 i havent been able to unlock iphones and still trying fot completely free, or r-sim9, or geveny, which cost for sim chip. now i have my own iphone and cant switch to 02 (giffgaffs provider) as its on EE (t-mobile) . giffgaffs instructions are dated and irrelevent as still shows 6.2. lots has happened since then and jailbreaking is now possible up to 8.1. but unlocking even under a jailbreak is alluding me. the cheapest pay for unlock is £20 and i dont trust network sites as once stung! orange, and EE, is also 20 but with 10day wait. if networks check imei numbers they'll know if a phone is genuine and unlock. would save us all the trouble and get giffgaff a lot more customers, my iphone cusomers too. especially when i'm offerring giffgaff after fixing screens!!
