Sims you can place in shops

Is this a thing? I know loads of local shops I think would happily take my sims if they come in retail packaging.
How do I get them in retail packaging?

I've had this experience. It's one of the easiest ways to get recruits and become a SR, but they won't let you (for obvious reasons: cost).

You need to have a "secret" ratio of activated vs non-activated SIMs to order these. If you have, you'll see the choice of 1, 3, or 50 SIMs here: https://giffgaff.com/orders/mgm

Very interesting.
I’ve been looking into this myself.
What I did was copy the retail sets myself but the quality is not that good.
I was waiting on the POS sets that Rory and the team offered but then Covid hit and tbh I’ve been too busy to ask and then I got unwell but feeling better now and looking to move forward in a positive way and especially with recruiting.

@mrjeeves We need to try and keep to a certain activation rate partly due to cost but largely we have to be careful with mobile number wastage. However, we're happy to raise any super limit to 50 so that they can order the 50 retail SIMs :)

I would maybe add that an applicant while also being an SR should or must have an action plan or plan of action for the said 50 sims???
It makes sense.

I would apply myself but I am not ready to make that action happen yet.

Like I say. I did my own but the quality was not as good. No doubts down to card quality not being the same. I would be happy to pay for the retail sets as they where costing me around £0.65 to make each one. But with quantity comes lower price. I was only doing 10 per week at my rate.
And until my recruiting ratio was to become higher then I was going to seek further help and along with the POS sets from you and Rory.
However Covid came but as quick as it came. It will also go.

Shopkeepers will never allow u to put ur sims in there unless u offer them a commission .. there are big companies like elite and core are contracted with super stores and they pay commissions and supply free stands And bulks of sims of all networks to all shops.. if any of you get a chance just go to the corner shops and look around for a 10 peg sims stand hanging in there.. when someone buy a sim card from the shop the sim distributing company gets alert that which sim got activated from which shop and then they pay them according to the activations.. like leap sims distributors pay £4 on giffgaff’s 1st top up to the shopkeepers.. for EE they pay £9 to the shopkeeper for activation £8.5 for three sim card activation ... so on that bases shops wont tKe anything from individuals bcoz the shop owners already getting good commissions from these companies which as a super recruiter we cant offer.. plus the sims already in there from distributing companies have company logo stickers so if any random person go there and put on his own they will remove ur sims..

umair1983 I actually have family who own stores so was going to place pic POS posters there along with sims I'm sure they would allow me to do it but can't find POS Posters here and the sims I received are just the cards need the ones elite and these other sim distributors have

Try to give around ur family if anyone needs sims so after 15 recruits u will get them in sim packs

Activations are much lower the last few month due to the current lockdown situation.

Its worth remembering that once you become a Super Recruiter, you do not get payback for the Activations Its important that you try to aim your recruiting at people who are likely to stay with giffgaff and top-up again.

It is not easy to get shop owners to stock other people’s SIMs. It may be easier if you already have some kind of friendship with the owner. eg your local barbers (once they are open again) may be happy to stock some.

Only at 40 myself. But as pauljohn7 says. I like to concentrate on 2nd and 3rd top ups and recruits that will stay with giffgaff. Most do. Or so I hear.
Definitely have a good feeling that there will be a lot of people requiring pre-paid or pay go services. Although unfortunate for many. It will be a win for some.
